CheckWeb

Pay once the tool starts saving you time.

The first audit asks for neither an account nor a card, and the report is not cut down: you see the real product before deciding anything. Paid plans do not buy better measurements — they buy volume, tracking over time, and what you need to work on your clients’ sites.

Try it first. Decide afterwards.

One full audit, with no account and no card. A free account then opens a daily quota — enough to judge on evidence before paying for anything.

Before you choose

Is the audit really free?

Yes. One complete audit is free — no account, no card — and the report is not cut down. After that, a free account gives you 3 audits a day, running exactly the same measurements as the paid plans.

What exactly do you measure?

Eight pillars: performance, loaded in a real browser on both mobile and desktop; HTTP header security, on the Mozilla Observatory scale; infrastructure (DNS, TLS certificate, SPF, DKIM, DMARC); accessibility through axe-core, the engine Lighthouse itself uses; technical SEO; GDPR compliance, observed without ever clicking the cookie banner; responsive behaviour; and code quality.

Why does my performance score differ from PageSpeed Insights?

Because PageSpeed Insights simulates a low-end phone and a slow connection arithmetically, where we apply both to a real Chromium. On a heavy site the gap reaches tens of points, and our score is what a visitor with a cold cache actually gets. Against a Lighthouse run with applied throttling, the gap falls back to a few points. The pillar-by-pillar detail is on /en/checkweb/comparatif; the measured gaps are on the methodology page.

Does this replace a full accessibility audit?

No, and no machine can. We settle 26 of the 106 criteria of the French RGAA (the national implementation of WCAG 2.1 AA) automatically; the rest needs human judgement. You get the automated findings, a prioritised remediation plan and a draft conformity statement — the legally binding audit remains an expert’s work.

What happens to the address of the site I audit?

The report goes into your own history, partitioned, kept for 90 days and deletable in one click. The public barometer keeps only scores and a date: neither the address, nor who asked for it.

Which languages is CheckWeb available in?

French (the default), English on /en and simplified Chinese on /zh. The whole report follows the language you pick — not just the menus, but the title, explanation and recommendation of every finding. The analysis itself is identical: the same measurements and the same scoring scale in all three languages.

The simplest thing is to look at your own score.

A full audit, right now. Two minutes will tell you whether a subscription is worth anything to you.
